Adair County High School offers Kaplan ACT prep course

By Chad Parnell
Director of Innovative Pathways, ACHS

Adair County High School is excited to announce its continued partnership with Kaplan--a leading test prep company - for this school year. ACHS students have two resources available through Kaplan.

The first is access to Kaplan's 24/7 on-demand test preparation course for the ACT. The online course is self-paced and covers all the topics on the exam. There are literally hundreds of practice questions available. Parents and guardians have the added benefit of reviewing college admission guidance and helping their child plan out his or her path to college. This $299 online course is available to all ACHS students for FREE!

The second program is an ACT Classroom Course. This 18-hour course will be taught by a certified Kaplan instructor on-site at ACHS in preparation for the December ACT exam. The course will include Kaplan's strategies that are proven to raise scores. Students will have access to four full-length proctored tests and six additional tests for practice. Students will also have access to 50 hours of online instruction. The cost of the on-site course will be $275. Students in surrounding counties may also take advantage of the ACT Classroom Course. The cost for non-Adair County Schools students is $385.

Students who are interested in either Kaplan resource may stop by the ACHS Counselor's Office to register. The deadline to register is October 28, 2016. For additional information about these Kaplan resources, please call Mrs. Ann Young, Guidance Counselor, or Mr. Chad Parnell, Director of Innovative Pathways, at 270-384-2751. Seating is limited for this course, students are encouraged to act now to claim your spot.
