Bonner Scholars help serve at Square Meals Cafe Hamburgers came from cow from Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Vicky Browning Pike This morning (Sat 20 Aug 2016) we have some of Lindsey Wilson College Bonner students helping at the Farmers Market Square Meals Cafe, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. Those in the accompanying photo are Olivia Gravlt, Melanie Brown, Catherine Marrihan and Barbara Armitage. There was a big turnout today for lunch. They are serving "Miss Vicky " cow today. Never partaken of any of my beef before but she was tasty. Thanks to these students for giving back to the community and I encourage others to volunteer to help with this effort to keep children fed, and not just on the weekend. There is no charge to children for breakfast or lunch from a healthy menu. If you eat all your meal you get dessert - today it was homemade pineapple mango. So pass the word; keep our most prized possessions fed. Grab a kid and head on down on Saturday. - Vicky This story was posted on 2016-08-20 12:21:43
