GULF SHORES, AL - Desmond Mobley and Chanel Roberts earned NAIA All-American honors at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships on Friday at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.

Mobley finished as the national runner-up in the long jump event after reaching a distance of 7.62 meters (25-0 feet). He trailed only national champion Corion Knight of Florida Memorial, who reached 7.66 meters in the field of 24. Mobley becomes the 23rd Outdoor NAIA All-American in men's program history.

Roberts collected a third-place finish in the shot put event, recording a toss of 14.90 meters (48-11 feet). Her distance trailed national champion Amy Bluckner's toss of 15.32 meters and Concordia's (Neb.) Kali Robb's toss of 14.97 meters. Roberts' distance beat her own school record of 14.70 meters set back in 2014. She becomes the 12th Blue Raider in women's outdoor program history to earn NAIA All-American honors, and just the second athlete to do so in a field event.

Dante Johnson competed in the men's 100 meter hurdles event where he ran a 14.63 to finish 10th, just missing out on the finals by .02 seconds. John-Paul Williamson ran in the 5,000 meters and collected a 21st-place finish with a time of 16:09.20.

Kevin Hallmon and Dondre Mimms both ran in the 100 meter dash. Hallmon ran a 10.58 in ninth place and Mimms recorded a 10.74 but neither was able to qualify for the finals. Hallmon finished just .03 seconds off the finals qualifying time.

Kimberley Stevens finished one spot shy of the women's triple jump finals after her best leap of 11.55 meters put her ninth out of 21.

Mobley also competed in the high jump event but was unable to record a height.

In the team standings, the Blue Raider men sit in a tie for 17th place with eight points, while the women are tied for 24th with six points.
