Campbellsville HS names Leaders of the Year

Kendon Young, Caroline McMahan, Christian Berry, and Jeremiah Jackson

By Calen McKinney

Campbellsville High School recently named its Leaders of the Year for the 2015-2016 school year. About 35 students from each class were named Leaders of the Week during the school year. From those students, teachers recently selected their nominations for Leader of the Year.

The Leader of the Year award is given to students who exhibit exceptional leadership skills, perform well academically, participate in community service clubs and organizations and are trustworthy, dependable and show overall good character.

This year’s Leaders of the Year are freshman Jeremiah Jackson, sophomore Christian Berry, junior Caroline McMahan and senior Kendon Young.

Winners received a certificate signed by CHS Principal Kirby Smith and Campbellsville Independent Schools Superintendent Mike Deaton, along with prizes from Green River Cinema 6 and Creek Side Restaurant.
