Eleven graduates of free electrician prep class pass tests

After end of 10 weeks of instruction, the eleven students in Chris Bennett class have passed either their Journey or Master Electrician test.

On March 22, 2016 the free electrician test prep class given by local electrical inspector Chris Bennett ended its 10 week run. Since that time 11 of the students have passed either their Journeyman or Master] Electrician test. These electricians worked very hard in class and really impressed instructor Chris Bennett.

These tests have over a 90% failure rate and are not easy, but with hard work and dedication the students prevailed. Instructor Chris Bennett believes that he has at least 10 more students that could pass the test if they so choose.

The students who have passed their test so far include:

  • Patrick Williams, Columbia Kentucky.
  • Bobby Morrison, MSP Inc Columbia Kentucky.
  • Albert Buck, Tiptop Contracting Liberty Kentucky.
  • Justin Hatter, Tarter Industries, Liberty Kentucky.
  • Casey Brown, Fayette Electric, Lexington Kentucky.
  • Kendall Judd, Mike Sexton Electric, Columbia Kentucky.
  • Terry Fletcher, Mike Sexton Electric, Columbia Kentucky.
  • Jonathan Cook, American Electric, Campbellsville Kentucky.
  • Cody Ford, All Electric, Campbellsville Kentucky.
  • Todd Corbin, Adair County Schools, Columbia Kentucky.
  • James Wesley, Hobart industries, Danville Kentucky.
Most of these men worked a full time job while attending class two nights week coming from as far away as Lexington and Danville. Instructor Chris Bennett would like to think the Adair County school system, the School Board, and Agriculture teacher Kirby Handcock for allowing the group to meet in Mr Hancocks room to have class each night.
