She had professed her faith in Christ at a young age and was a member of
The Columbia Christian Church. She was a longtime employee of
Young & Wilson Drugs and Columbia Pharmacy. She was a beloved member of the community and the matriarch of a highly regarded family. She was the daughter of the late Frank Bennett and Lorena Coomer Bennett, and the widow of Tommie Murrell. She died Friday, April 22, 2016, at the age of 78 years, 10 months, and 15 days. She was the widow of Tommie Murrell, who preceded her in death on August 29, 1974. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Lyndell Bennett. She is survived by the following:
