Writer calls IRS after scammer threatens suit

Sharon R thompson writes:
I received the call last year from "irs" stating they were suing my husband and me, so I actually called the IRS. (I waited 40 minutes on the phone for someone but was determined to talk to them) the lady stated it was a scam that the IRS NEVER calls anyone, they always send notifications by mail never the phone. So if you get a call and they say they are the IRS, it will be a scam, and you can turn that number to the real IRS and they will investigate. --Sharon R thompson
