A drive after the rains finds gift of a huge rainbow

By Linda Waggener

A Sunday afternoon drive after the weekend rains ended provided an incredible gift, a rainbow that arched high over Loy Cemetery Road in southern Adair County, greater Gadberry/Fairplay, KY. Did you see it?

This particular rainbow was like no other Ed or I had ever seen, both ends were visible between us and the tree lines. We checked, there was no pot of gold, but the gift made us feel quite rich.

A rainbow that arched high over Loy Cemetery Road in southern Adair County was the after-the-weekend-rains gift. Both ends of the rainbow were visible between us and the tree lines. This one looks back toward Columbia from Loy Cemetery Road. It was special, because there must be at least some symbolic gold where the rainbow touches the ground, or perhaps there was some other significance to it. - Linda & Ed

Heavy weekend rains ended with an incredible gift of a rainbow that arched high over the south side of Loy Cemetery Road before Sunday evening sunset in southern Adair County, greater Gadberry/Fairplay, KY. It was the first time either of us had ever seen what looked like the end of the rainbow on the ground, above in front of these woods. - Linda and Ed
