Marie Ballenger, 88, Grider Lane, Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, February 12, 2016, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral for Marie Ballenger will be at 2pmCT, Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Bodie Emerson and Bro. Ed Partin officiating. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY. Visitation will be after 11:30amCT, Sunday, at the funeral home.

She was born October 7, 1927, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Eldora E. Foley and Hattie Zelma Barnes Foley. She died Friday, February 12, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 88 years, four months, and five days.

She was a beautician.

Her husband, Johnny Ballenger Russell Springs, KY, survives. Other survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Linda (David) Herriford and Marlene (Edward) McClure, all of Lexington, KY

  • A sister: June (Estus) Emerson, Russelll Springs, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Three great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Geraldine Ballenger and Lillian Heathman; and brothers, A.G., D.C.; and J.E. Foley.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
