KYTC District 8 Road Conditions - 1 inch snow blankets area By Amber Hale, Public Information Officer KY Transportation Cabinet District 8 SOMERSET, KY (20 Jan 2016 received at 5:29amCT) - State road crews are treating routes across all ten counties of the District 8 area. We are seeing moderate snowfall with counties reporting at least 1 inch accumulation. Road crews are treating the pavement with salt and plowing. As the snow continues to come down, roads that have been salted and plowed will get covered again. It will take some time to get all routes cleared, so motorists need to be patient and expect delays.
