Mrs. Norma Jean Smith Long, age 83, of Modoc Road in Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at The Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Norma Smith Long will be conducted on Saturday, January 18, 2016 at 4pmCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 16, 2016 after 2pmCT, at Norris-New Funeral Home, until the funeral hour at 4pmCT.



She is survived by her husband, James E. Long of Indianapolis, Indiana, and the following:
  • Her children: Margie Ross of Indianapolis, Indiana; Rodger Nelson of Lewiston, Illinois; Deborah Groce of Burkesville, Kentucky; Lora Long Bowlin of Indianapolis, Indiana; Bobbie Long Noone of Indianapolis, Indiana

  • Step-sons: Allen Long and Joe Long, both of Indianapolis, Indiana

  • Her sister: Judy Smith Rinehart of Louisville, Kentucky

  • Twenty-five grandchildren

  • Twelve great-grandchildren

  • and one great-great-grandchild
