C.V. Aldrey Tucker, 86, Russell Co., KY, (1929-2015)

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was a resident of Russell Springs, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late T.O and Sophie Tarter Tucker. His wife 61 years, Velda Tucker, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants. He was a Korean War Veteran and will be accorded full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard. He was a retired park ranger and a member of Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church

C.V. Aldrey Tucker, 86, of Russell Springs, died Thursday at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for C.V. Aldrey Tucker will be 1pmCT, Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Richie Curtis and Bro. Donald Wilson officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, December 26, 2015, and 8amCT, on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Sunshine with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.



C.V. Aldrey Tucker, 86, Russell Co., KY, (1929-2015)


He was born November 20, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of the late T.O. and Sophie Tarter Tucker. He died Thursday, December 24, 2015, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 86 years, one month, and four days.

He was a Korean War Veteran of the US Army.

He was a retired Park Ranger and a member of Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey McGowan.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Velda Tucker, and the following:
  • Two children: Steven Tucker, Russell Springs, KY; and Joan Rogers, Crestwood, KY

  • One grandaughter: Christian Victoria Pajares

  • One great grandaughter: Julia Isabel Pajares

  • One brother: Thurlo (Audrey) Tucker, Russell Springs, KY
The family requests memorials to Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church. These can be made at the funeral Home.
