E-town KSP Post 4 investigating Battletown murder

30 year old Meade County man found deceased; foul play ruled by State Medical Examiner in Louisville, KY

Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY

Battletown, KY - Investigators from the Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown are conducting a murder investigation involving a Battletown man.



On Wednesday, October 7, 2010 KSP received a call from the Meade Co. dispatch asking for assistance on a complaint of an unresponsive person at 12 Rick Stansbury Street in Battletown.

When Meade Co Deputies and Troopers arrived a short time later they found Daniel Shane Allen (30), of the same address, deceased.
BR> After investigation it was determined that he died of foul play. The determination was verified this morning by the State Medical examiner in Louisville after an autopsy was performed. The investigation continues and no other information can be released at this time. KSP was assisted on the scene by the Meade Co. S.O, Meade Co. EMS, and the Meade Co. Coroner's Office.
