1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY

Deployment of heavy equipment and earth moving began today, August 31, 2015, for construction of the new bus garage complex on the campus of Adair County Schools.

The facility, located across from Adair Co. Primary Center, will replace the 50 year old inadequate building and allow for purchase of standard sized school buses.

The completion of the facility, set for January 9, 2016, marks the major completion of campus-wide repair and renovation projects that have spanned the past three and a half years.

Supt. Reed is anticipating a Community Learning Center to provide technical education for all Adair Countians and the when state capital outlay funds become available, moving forward with the much anticipated band and auditorium complex. Reed says community support has never been higher for the district amid a period of unprecedented improvement to the physical plant and, more importantly, academic programs.

He thanks the school board, community and faculty for supporting innovation and improvement.
