Homeplace festival to feature photography workshops Sessions will be taught by David Goguen By George Kolbenschlag Two photo workshops will be part of the activity at the Homeplace on Green River Fall Festival, at the Homeplace on Green River, 5807 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, Saturday, September 12, 2015. The sessions, from 9amCT-10amCT/11am-12pmNoonET, will be for those 16 years and older and the second, from 12pmNoonET/1pmET until 2pmCT/3pmET will be for ages 10-15 year olds. The seminars will be led by Lindsey Wilson College Professor David Goguen. He will be assisted by some of his photography students. This will be Professor Goguen's third year to offer his seminars. Participants need to register with Goguen at goguend@lindsey.edu or by calling 270 384 8241 and leaving a message with you name, number and which seminar you want to attend. Those attending will need to bring their own digital camera of any type. There will be no charge for the seminars, but there is a $5 per car parking fee charged to all festival goers. Selected photos from the seminars will be published on the Homeplace Web page and may be used for Homeplace promotional materials. Professor Goguen is an award winning photographer and uses Homeplace as an outdoor classroom for his photography students. His brief two hour seminars include some brief instruction and then actually taking photos and critiquing them. The Homeplace Fall Festival is a family day including mule wagon and hay rides, animals, face painting, Kentucky arts and crafts demonstrations and sales, live music, trail hikes, pioneer reenactors, a dog show, children's crafts and activities, food vendors and much more. Homeplace is located at 5807 New Columbia Road (KY highway 55) between Columbia and Campbellsville and is a joint effort of Adair, Green and Taylor counties.
