Three injured in single vehicle collision on Bomar Hts.

Three teenage occupants, all from Columbia, KY, treated on the scene, transported to Westlake Regional Hospital for additional care. Columbia Police, Adair EMS responded. Officers Josh Brockman and Charles Greer are continuing the investigation

At 07:22amCT this morning, Thursday, August 20, 2015, Columbia Police Department was dispatched to a single vehicle collision on Bomar Heights in the limits of Columbia, KY, in which three people were injured.



Preliminary investigation indicates that the operator 17 year old autumn Bennett of Columbia lost control of her 1998 Toyota 4 runner, leaving the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck an earth embankment causing it to go airborne.

Upon landing vehicle came back up onto roadway where vehicle overturned and came back to rest in its upright position.

The operator, Autumn Bennett, was partially ejected. The vehicle was also occupied by passengers 15 year old Charity Bennett and 16 year old Olivia Bair, also of Columbia, KY.

All three were treated on scene by Adair County EMS and transported to Westlake Regional Hospital for additional care.

CPD officers Josh Brockman and Charles Greer are continuing the investigation.

Three people were injured in a single vehicle accident this morning, Thursday, August 20, 2015, at 7:22amCT. All were treated at the scene by Adair County EMS, then transported to Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia for additional care.
