Irene L. Helm, 74, Hwy 1058, Jamestown, KY, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at her home.

The funeral service will be at 11amCT, Friday, July 17, 2015, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Jeff Griffen and Bro. Daniel Garrett officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.

She was born March 4, 1941, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Elza York and the late Nancy (Bunch) York. She died Wednesday, July 15, 2015, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 74 years, four months, and 11 days.

She was a homemaker. She was the widow of Jake Helm.

She leaves the following survivors:
  • Son: Gene (Sherie) Helm, Jamestown, KY

  • Four daughters: Barbara (Jr.) Collins, Jamestown, KY; and Patricia (Ross) Morgan, Rosemary (Phillip) Oaks, and Lisa (Tony) McQueary), all of Russell Springs, KY; and Sandy (Randy) Cunningham, Jamestown, KY

  • Two sisters: Ilene Hill and Ella Mann, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jake Helm; brother, Alvin York; and three sisters, Mary Grider, Elizabeth Guffey, and Christine Moore.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
