Liberty, KY, man arrested for possession of child porn A charge is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. From the office of Attorney General Jack Conway Attorney General Jack Conway and his Cybercrimes Unit today announced the arrest of a Casey County man on multiple counts of possessing child pornography. Brian K. Evans, 43, was arrested on June 3, 2015, by Attorney General Conway's Cybercrime investigators, after a search warrant was executed at his residence in Liberty, Ky. Evans was scheduled for a preliminary hearing today, June 11, 2015, at 10amCT in Casey District Court. The charges are the result of an investigation that began in May 2015. Investigators with the Cybercrimes Unit, along with troopers from the Kentucky State Police, executed a search warrant at Evans' home looking for computers and other equipment used to distribute images and videos of exploited children. Evans is charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. These crimes are Class D felonies and punishable by one to five years in prison. This case is currently being prosecuted by the Office of Casey County Attorney, Thomas Weddle, Jr. Evans remains in custody at the Casey County Detention Center with a $10,000 cash bond. He has been ordered to have no contact with minor children nor possess or use any devices capable of downloading videos. This story was posted on 2015-06-11 16:32:46
