Mrs. Stella Lewis Davis, Green Co., KY (1927-2015)

Mrs. Davis had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom for fourteen years and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the James L. Pruitt VFW Ladies Auxiliary to Post 5813, Greensburg and was a longtime member of the Summersville Homemakers.

Mrs. Stella Lewis Davis, 87, departed this life Friday, May 22, 2015 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville, KY.

The funeral services will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, at 3pmCT, Sunday, May 24, 2015, with Bro. Danny Nelson, Bro. Greg Whitlow and Bro. Larry Wisdom officiating. Visitation was 5pm-8pmCT, Saturday, May 23, 2015 and after 7amCT, Sunday. Interment will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 500 Old US 68, Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY.



Pallbearers: Kyle Davis, Mike McCubbin, Bud Price, Tim Marr, Mark Stubblefield, and John Price.

Honorary Pallbearers: VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5813, Summersville Homemakers, Linda Stubblefield, Regina Richards

Mrs. Stella Lewis Price, Green Co., KY (1927-2015)


Mrs. Stella Lewis Davis was born June 14, 1927 in Larue County, KY to the late Coy and Lertie Lewis McCubbin. She departed this life Friday, May 22, 2015 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville, LaRue County, KY, having attained the age of eighty-seven years, eleven months and eight days.

Mrs. Davis had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom for fourteen years and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the James L. Pruitt VFW Ladies Auxiliary to Post 5813, Greensburg and was a longtime member of the Summersville Homemakers.

She was united in marriage December 24, 1946 to Carl Edward Lewis who preceded her in death September 5, 1975. She was also united in marriage November 7, 1982 to Hubert P. Davis, who preceded her in death February 25, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers James, Albert and Bobby McCubbin.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Jimmy and Debbie Lewis of Allendale, KY

  • One daughter and son-in-law: Louise and Billy W. Price of Summersville, KY

  • One step son and daughter-in-law: Kerry and Lanetta Davis of Greensburg, KY

  • One brother: Roy McCubbin of Summersville, KY

  • Two step grandchildren: Lindsey Fields of Greensburg, KY; and Kyle Davis of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four step-great grandchildren

  • A host of other relatives and friends
