Grant funds transcription of Adair Co. Black Heritage interviews Wanda Washington, Campbellsville, KY, has been awarded a $2,340 grant to transcribe interviews about African-American life in Adair County. The Project director is Wanda Washington. Institutional Partner: Kentucky Historical Society. The grant was one of three statewide for transcription/indexing awarded on Thursday, May 21, by the Kentucky Oral History Commission to support oral hisotry projects. The projects funded range from Appalshop Video History Project in Whitesburg, to a New Deal agricultural program, to integration of Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, KY.
