Jean Wilson Johnston passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. She was 80. Memorial services are 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, 9am-11amCT/10am-12pm noon ET.



Jean Wilson Johnston, Liberty, KY (1934-2014)


Born Monday, December 17, 1934 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Esta Zackary Wilson. She died Saturday, April 25, 2015, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 80 years, four months, and eight days.

She was a homemaker and former owner and operator of Hilltop Grocery. She was a member of the Christian Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son, Larry Joe Johnston II of Hopkinsville, KY

  • A daughter: Lisa Gerri Johnston of Paducah, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Reagan, Trey, Ramsey, and Sarah

  • Five brothers: Harold, Kenneth, Carl, Dale and Paul Wilson

  • And a sister: Patricia Wilson
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Ivan and Leo Wilson; and two sisters, Veltha True and Deltha Lay.
