Rotary Auction coming up 4-5 May 2015 - (Sponsored) Proceeds from auction returned to community in scholarships to Lindsey Wilson College for Adair County High School students Click on headline for complete story See also: Items for sale in the upcoming Rotary Auction By Hunter Durham President, Columbia Rotary Club The Columbia Rotary Club will hold its annual Radio Auction, 6pm-9pmCT, Monday, May 4, 2015, and Tuesday, May 5, 2015, simulcast on WAIN (93.5) and The WAVE (92.7. The Auction is one of many community improvement projects in Columbia and Adair County the club has promoted in its 80 years of living up to the Rotary International motto of Service Above Self. Proceeds from the sale of auction items and cash gifts donated by area businesses and individuals are turned back to the community in scholarships to Lindsey Wilson College for Adair County High School students. Items auctioned will include UK basketball tickets, old coins, dinners at the Lindsey Wilson Dining Center, golf packages, season tickets to college sporting events and items from local merchants, restaurants, and marinas. Items to be auctioned are listed at the Rotary Web Page, www.rotarycolumbia-adair.org. The auction is only one of many service projects Columbia Rotarians have conducted and participated in over its 80 year history. Over the years the auction has raised over $100,000 for Adair students and has become the club's keystone project. Disclaimers Additional items will be added as they become available.
