Sherman Allen Murphy, 94, Casey County, KY (1920-2015) He was a veteran of World War II and a businessman. He was the former owner/operator of Murphy's Gas Station in Liberty, KY. Sherman Allen Murphy passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Rockcastle Regional in Mt. Vernon, KY. He was 94. Funeral services are 12pmCT/1pmET Saturday, April 18, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Clifton Cowan officiating. Burial will follow in the Murphy Cemetery with military honors by the Caswell-Saufley American Legion Post. Visitation will be Saturday from 10amCT/11amET, until funeral time at the funeral home. He died Monday, April 13, 2015, in Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle County, KY, at the age of 94 years, 10 months, and 29 days. He was the former owner/operator of Murphy's Gas Station in Liberty, KY.
