Ernest Eugene Hadley, 81, Adair Co., KY (1933-2015)

He was the patriarch of a highly regarded Adair County family. He was the son of he late Clurel L. and Hellen Gertrude Buster Hadley. His wife, Mary S. Grant Hadley, survives. He leaves 10 direct living descendants. Mr. Hadley was retired from Ford Motor Company, Louisville, KY after a 30 year career there. He was a U.S. Army veteran. A member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He had professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith

Ernest Eugene Hadley age 81 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 9:15amET, at University of Louisville Hospital In Louisville, KY.

Funeral service Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, with full military honors present by local VFW Post 6097, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Monday, March 30, 2015.

He was born on Saturday, April 22, 1933 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Clurel L. & Helen Gertrude Buster Hadley. He died Saturday, March 28, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and six days.

He is survived by his wife, Mary S. Grant Hadley, of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Terry A. Hadley & Douglas P. Hadley of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Delano Hadley of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Faye Willan of Louisville, KY and Rose Bickett of Georgia

  • Five grandchildren: Zachary A. Hadley, Megan C. Hadley, Danielle N. Hadley, Ashley S. Hadley and Sarah K. Wheeler

  • Three great grandchildren

  • Nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
He had professed faith in Christ & was of the Baptist faith, retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville with 30 years, served his country in the United States Army, was member of the Mason Lodge & Scottish Rite of freemasonry 32nd. in Louisville, KY
