ACE's A-team has successful season at Regional Governor's Cup Click on headline for complete list of winners and five photos By Shamarie Claiborne, Media Promotions Adair County School District, 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY Congratulations to the Adair County Elementary School Academic Team as they ended a very successful season at the Regional Governor's Cup Competition held at Gamaliel Elementary on Saturday, March 21, 2015. With 14 schools being represented, the ACES Academic Team did an excellent job representing our school and district. Top honors went to the Future Problem Solving Team as they were named Regional FPS Champions! FPS Students are Gracie Baker, Briley Burns, Madeline Hardwick and Elizabeth Smith. They are coached by Jeana Pike. The Quick Recall Team and those students taking written assessments also finished well. They are coached by Lisa Newell-Hare. Here are their standings: Quick Recall - 3rd Place - Colin Stephens. Kennedy Stephens, Chloe Stapleton, Amber Loy, Morgan Spoon, Sadie Kemp, Noah Newell, Kalli Bailey, Kiaera Collins, and Sadie Kemp. Language Arts - 3rd Place - Amber Loy; 4th Place - Briley Burns Composition - 1st Place - Sadie Kemp; 3rd Place - Amber Loy With these placements added together, ACES Academic Team came in 2nd Place overall. Coach Jeana Pike and Lisa Newell-Hare are very proud of this academic team. They both agree that these students showed a lot of hard work, dedication and commitment throughout the season, and all their hard work paid off at the Regional Governor's Cup Competition.
