Julia Conover, 99, Adair County, KY (1915-2015)

She was a member of a highly regarded Adair County, KY family. She was a native of Milltown, KY and a resident of Columbia, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late U.L. & Bertha Mae Pollard Rogers and the widow of Porter Conover. She was a woman of remarkable poise and beauty who graced the community for a period just 10 days short of one century. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Julia Conover , 99 years of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday February 18, 2015 at Summit Manor Health & Rehab Center in Columbia, KY.

Funeral service: Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Bro. Jack Rogers will be the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. The family request visiting after 10amCT, on Saturday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary.



Julia Conover, 99, Adair County, KY (1915-2015)

She was born on February 28, 1915 at Milltown, KY. She was the daughter of the late U. L. & Bertha Mae Pollard Rogers. She died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 99 years, 11 months. and 21 days. She was the widow of Porter Conover who preceded her in death on July 8, 1979, preceded by one son William "Billy" Porter Conover, Jr. on February 27, 2004 and by two brothers: J.C. Rogers & Loren Rogers and by two sisters: Mary Nell Halcomb and Hortense Wantye.

She is survived by the following:
  • One sister: Audra Royse of Columbia, KY

  • One grandson: David Conover of Prospect, KY

  • Three great grandchildren: William Porter, Parker David and Maggie Jane Conover

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and a homemaker.
