Letter: Familiar with Church Street, Burkesville, KY Paul Patton writes: It was easy for me to identify the street sign, "N. Main and Church St." For eight years I served as pastor of First Christian Church which is located at 101 N. Main St. in Burkesville and the parsonage where my wife and I spent week-ends was located on Church St. Of course the bank building on that corner made it recognizable also. Here is another trivia question. Since there are no church buildings on Church Street, why is it so named? Those of us familiar with the history of Burkesville know why; however, I will await others responses. - Paul PattonComments re photo 58896 Local Trivia How would you quickly know where This story was posted on 2015-02-16 10:39:22
