COLUMBIA, KY - Five members of the Lindsey Wilson Volleyball team earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, the national office announced on Friday, December 5, 2014.

Sarah Anderson, Brianna Bartlett, Kirsten King, Daryna Liutikova and Nadelina Nesheva are received the academic honor.

Anderson earns the award for the second-straight season while the remaining four are all newcomers to the honor. All five student-athletes earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors earlier this season.

The five Blue Raiders honored this season are the most in program history, surpassing the four total student-athletes to earn the award during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

The Blue Raiders are five of 455 student-athletes to earn the award.
