Link: School board election - an excellent article

A suggested read-before-you vote article

This is an excellent piece from WFPL, the voice of the Louisville Free Public Library, which may be of interest to those in Districts in the 7-County area which have local school board races:

When you vote for School Board member, what are you voting for?

In Adair County, KY, five candidates, three in Division 1, the south end of the county, and two in Division 3, are on the ballot. This story might provide insight on the complexity of the job, and the character one might want to examine in a character before pulling the lever on a job which oversees an almost $30,000,000 per year budget - in an employment sector which is now Adair County's number one industry, education, and, with the $60,000,000 budget at Lindsey Wilson College, and other educational enterprises here, would make it very possibly the very first $100,000,000 a year component of the local economy.
