Rev. Jerry Cline, 70, formerly of Adair Co., KY (1944-2014) Rev. Cline was a retired minister who served Columbia First Church of the Nazarene for 14 years, prior to which he had been an Evangelist for 15 years. He was very active working with veterans. He is fondly remembered here by not only members of the First Nazarene Church but also for his participation in so many community activities here. Many remember his wonderful sense of humor, his performances in clown uniforms and his appearances on his unicycle in parades. His humanity shows through, along with his love of animals, in the list of his survivors, listing his cat, Coco. But most importantly, he is remembered for his dedicated Christian service as a pastor at Columbia First Church of the Nazarene and the love he held for his congregation and they for him. He returned frequently to Columbia, many times to officiate at funerals, the most recent was in Columbia in the latter part of 2013 to officate at rites for several leading Adair Countians, the latest in November 2013. Rev. Jerry Cline, 70, of Bowling Green died at 7:18 pm Thursday, October 16, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pmCT, Monday, October 20, 2014 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, 901 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-8pmCT, at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home and again from 10amCt to service time on Monday at the funeral home. Rev. Jerry Cline, formerly of Adair Co., KY (1944- 2014) Rev. Cline was born, July 30, 1944, in Plano, Warren County, KY, a son of the late Robey Estell and Irene Armour Cline. He died Thursday, October 16, 2014, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 70 years, two months, and 17 days. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur Gerald Cline and Richard Glenn Cline and one sister, Phyllis Dennison. Rev. Cline was a retired minister having served as an Evangelist for 15 years and later served Columbia First Church of the Nazarene for 14 years. He was very active working with veterans.
