AC Jailer Rick Wilson: Improvements for 3rd Quarter 2014 at Adair County Fiscal Court meeting 14 Oct 2014 Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) Adair County Jailer Rick Wilson read the following Quarterly Report to Adair Fiscal Court, Tuesday, 14 Oct 2014: We have a total of 36 staff members as of 9/30/14. Garden more successful than past years This year our garden was more successful than past years. We enjoyed great cooperative work from staff and inmates. Chief Cook, Judy Derman estimated we have saved approximately $5,476. In 2013 we saved $5,014.39. Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) full implemented at Adair County Regional Jail PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) is fully implemented. I know some large jails have implemented it but I know of no other small jails that have fully functional PREA programs. Largest refund from medical company ever received I am extremely pleased to announce that we received a refund from our medical company cost pool on 9/23/14 in the amount of $12,990.11. This is the most we have ever received. Last year we received $5,417.03. This was possible due to our nurse with Southern Health Partners being able to take care of medical needs without sending inmates to outside providers.
