Montgomery was asked to present at this year's KAAC State Conference after her 3rd Place finish at the International Future Problem Solving Championships that took place in June at Iowa State University. This year, KAAC has added a feature to their State Scenario Writing academic competition in which students will display their written work in a storyboard format that attracts potential readers to the plot and themes in a synopsis that will further invite non-participants to read and enjoy the competitors' work. As reigning State Champion, Montgomery was selected to pilot the format and instruct coaches on what they can prepare their students to do in the upcoming competitive season. In front of several coaches/educators, her effort received much praise among the attendees who attended her session. Montgomery was also invited to attend the coaches banquet hosted by KAAC each year at the event held at the Galt House Hotel and Suites. This story was posted on 2014-10-02 14:43:59
