He was a native of Liberty, KY, and a resident of the city at the time of his death. He was the son of Allien Allison Gabhart, who survives, and the late Keith Gabhart. He leaves five direct living descendants. Mr. Gabhart was a retired water treatment technician.

Phillip Dale Cochran Gabhart, age 72, of Liberty, KY passed away on Sunday September 21, 2014 at his residence.

Visitation will be held 10amCT/11amET, Thursday September 25th, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. Funeral services will be held 12pmCT/1pmET, Thursday September 25, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brent Huggins officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Phillip Dale Cochran Gabhart was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on Monday, October 6, 1941. He was he son of Allien Allison Gabhart, who survives, of Martinsville, IN and the late Keith Gabhart. He died in Liberty, Casey County, KY, on Sunday, September 21, 2014, a the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 15 days.

He was a retired water treatment tech. Additional survivors include:
  • Two children

  • Three grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Helen and (Austin) Hayes of Lake Okeechobee, FL' and Linda Jane Rodgers of Martinsville, IN

  • One brother: Steve Cochran of Bloomfield, IN

  • Caregivers: Tommye Allen and Janet Harmon

  • and several nieces and nephews
