She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a former lunchroom employee at Campbellsville Elementary School and Taylor County Elementary School, former employee of Boston's Mini Home, Metzmeier Nursing Home, and for many years did wonderful caretaking in people's homes. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of hte late William Andy Young, and Mary Candice Rafferty Page. She was the widow of Walter Wayne. She leaves 16 direct and 1 step living descendants.

Sarah Lee Page Wayne, 93, of Campbellsville, KY, died at10:11pmET, Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Jackson, Tennessee.

The funeral service will be at 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Monday, June 23, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville by Rev. Ron Young and Rev. Paul Dicken. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Sarah Lee Page Wayne of Campbellsville, KY, was the daughter of the late William Andy Page and Mary Candice Rafferty Page. She was born March 21, 1921, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee, at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 22 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was a former lunchroom employee at Campbellsville Elementary School and Taylor County Elementary School, former employee of Boston's Mini Home, Metzmeier Nursing Home, and for many years did wonderful caretaking in people's homes.

She united in marriage to Walter Wayne October 31, 1939. He preceded her in death July 9, 1961.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Walt Hedges of Jackson, Tennessee

  • Two former daughters-in-law: Alla Rae Janes and Marsha Wayne of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three granddaughters and one grandson: Denean Hendren and husband, Seth of Medina, Tennessee; Robin Brown and husband, Steven of Alpharetta, Georgia; Wendy Sabo and husband, John and Neil Wayne of Campbellsville, KY

  • Step-granddaughter, Nikki Salyers and husband, Logan of Campbellsville, KY

  • Eight great-grandchildren: Megan Brown, Laura Brown, William Brown, Andy Sabo, Jack Sabo, MaKenzie Hendren, Michael Hendren, and Will Hendren

  • Three step-great-grandchildren: Chelcie Salyers, Hunter Salyers, and Levi Salyers

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by a son, Merlin Wayne August 5, 2012 and four sisters and three brothers: Jessie Benningfield, Emma Farmer, Margaret Tucker, Ada Aileen Page, Lafe Page, Frank Page, and James Colvin.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund or the charity of yoru choice.
