Accident on Petty's Fork Bridge, KY 61 takes life of 21 year old

A two-vehicle collision just before 2pmCT, today, Wednesday, May 14, 2014, on KY 61 N, Greensburg Road, Columbia, KY, near Downey's Saw Mill, took the life of a 21-year-old Columbia, KY woman.

Sheriff Harrison Moss of the Adair County Sheriff's Office says the tragedy occurred when 21 year old Danielle Symmes lost control of her automobile on the bridge and collided with John Chicoine, also of Columbia, KY.



Chicoine was transported by Adair County EMS to Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY for treatment.

Symmes was also transported to Westlake Regional Hospital where Adair County Coroner Todd Akin pronounced her deceased.

Sheriff Moss said that the accident is being investigated by Deputy BJ Bray. - LARRY SMITH, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications
