The link to the story is courtesy Gaye Shaw, Executive Director of Edmonton/Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce, Edmonton, KY, who labeled the notice with an understatement: "Exciting & Awesome news about MCHS . . . Metcalfe County High School in the top 25 in Kentucky!

A perusal of the rankings did not show any other CM 7-County area (Adair, Casey, Green, Metcalfe, Russell, and Taylor County) schools in the state's top 25, but CM welcomes any comments based on more intense research.

The rankings are based, at least in part, on College Readiness Index, Algebra Proficiency, English Proficiency, and Student/Teacher Ratio.
