DAYTON, TN - Jordan Berry went 4-for-4 with two home runs to help Lindsey Wilson defeat Bryan (TN) 13-4 Tuesday night, February 25, 2014, at Senter Field in Dayton, TN.

Berry finished the day with seven RBIs, four of which came in a grand slam in the sixth inning. Mark Silva pushed two RBIs across and Derek Shugart finished the day with three hits.

After a scoreless first inning, Jeandro Andino got on base with a two-out single in the second. Andino stole second base and advanced to third on a balk by the Bryan pitcher. Trey Davis stepped to the plate and hit a double to score Andino and give Lindsey Wilson (9-8) a 1-0 lead.

The Lions (7-9) would answer in the bottom of the inning with a leadoff double by Grant Zawadzki. Zawadzki would later steal third and score on a groundout to tie the game 1-1.

Nick Hoffman reached on a walk to start the third inning and advanced to third after a Shugart single. An error by the second baseman allowed Hoffman to score and Shugart to advance to second. Shugart would later score on a single by Berry.

Following a scoreless fourth inning, the Blue Raiders scored three in the top of the fifth on a pair of doubles by Shugart and Alex Bautista and a two-run home run by Berry.

The sixth inning began with back-to-back singles by Michael Rosario and Hoffman to put runners at first and third. Silva reached on a fielder's choice that scored Rosario and Shugart bunted safely to load the bases. Berry stepped to the plate and delivered a grand slam to clear the bases giving Lindsey Wilson an 11-1 lead. The Blue Raiders would add one more run in the inning when Rosario singled home Mitchell Osnowitz for the 12-1 lead.

Bryan scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a pair of hits and a pair of fielding errors by the Blue Raiders.

Lindsey Wilson went scoreless in the seventh as Bryan was able to plate one run on a groundout bringing the score to 12-4.

Lindsey Wilson would add one final run in the top of ninth when Leonardo Ramirez scored on a groundout by Silva, pushing the lead to 13-4. Keith Patton would get a ground out, strike out and another ground out in the bottom of the ninth to preserve the 13-4 win.

Starting pitcher Sam Ross picked up the win to move to 2-2 on the year. Ross went seven innings allowing four runs - one earned - and struck out three. Patton pitched two scoreless innings and gave up just one hit. Bryan's Chad Burrows took the loss as he gave up six earned runs in four and one third innings. - Charles Balcom
