Merlin Bird ID App Free from Cornell Labs This new App for iPhone and iPad offers "Free, Instant Bird ID Help for 285 North American birds," and pulls real-time data to improve results. It looks like a handy tool for casual bird watchers and counters. The iOS version requires 7.0 or later, and an Android version is slated for release in Sprint of 2014.
