Rena Chumbley age 93 years of Russell County, KY, formerly of Adair County passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at 1:05amCt at her home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11amCT/12pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Cliffort Dehart officiating. Interment will be in Adair County, KY, at Freedom Cemetery, 576 Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, KY. The family requests visitation after 4:30pmCT/5:30pmET on Monday, September 9, 2013, at Stotts-Phelps-McQuearyFuneral Home.

She was born on Thursday, February 5, 1920 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Olie & Eliza Kerr Bryant. She died Saturday, September 7, 2013, in Russell County, KY, at the age of 93 years, 7 months, and 2 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Foster and was later married to Albert Chumbley who preceded her in death; she was preceded in death by four children, Avery Foster, Alice Veatch, Imogene Foster, Clarene Kelsay and one sister Dorothy Foster.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Finis Foster of Columbia, KY

  • Two daughters: Janice Beard and Irene Burton of Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Deltris Cravens of Columbia, KY

  • Twenty-one grandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren

  • Several great-great grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
