Overnight visitor makes wrong turn: GPS service to blame?

Traffic woes in Bliss and Greater Bliss seemed to emanate from misdirections created by GPS map company. Out on the edge of town, Victoria Pike says the situation is a big problem, one which could threaten the tornado warning system in the neighborhood or put the Walmart complex electric power supply in jeopardy.

By Victoria Pike
Commentary from Greater Bliss area near Holladay Place

We are still trying to get to the bottom of how large vehicles are getting turned down WEST 80 and where they are attempting to go.

If you have information on how this is happening, it would be helpful to know. Over the weekend we had big vehicle come down G. Browning Road which is a private drive off 80 West, Edmonton Road. This is posted No Outlet.

Hay was run over, trees were backed into and posts were hit in an attempt to turn around. We feel they are getting bad directions from the mapping directions given to them on their hand held devices.

The driver was gone when I discovered what had happened, so I have no way of knowing what he put into his device to end up down this way or others who have ended up at G. Bardin Road in the last few days.

I have asked for assistance in getting this issue resolved but need to know where they are attempting to go so we know what needs to be corrected.

We certainly don't want them down in here backing into our new tornado siren or knocking out power to all the Walmart development. Both poles are within a few feet of where this incident took place.

Thanks for any feedback anyone might have on this issue. - Victoria Pike
