James E. "Sonny" Perkins, 75, Elk Horn, KY, died at 1:30pmCT, Sunday, July 28, 2013 in Hodgenville.

Funeral services will be at 12pmCT/1pmET, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. David Ray and Bro. Chris Copher. Burial will be Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

James E. (Sonny) Perkins, Taylor County, KY (1938-2013) James E. "Sonny" PerkinPerkins was the son of the late Ollie Ruby "O. R." Perkins and Edith Ann Payne Perkins was born Thursday, July 26, 1938, in Marion County, KY. He died in Hodgenville, LaRue County, KY, Tuesday, July 28, 28013, in Hodgenville, LaRue County, KY, at the age of 75 years and 2 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of Hudson Foods and Cox Interior.

He united in marriage to Ocilla Curry December 24, 1962.

Besides his wife, Ocilla Perkins, he is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Rex and Margie Perkins of Campbellsville, KY

  • One grandson: Travis Perkins of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother and one sister: William Ray "Billy" Perkins of Campbellsville, KY; and Shirley Temple Caple and husband, Donnie of Plant City, FL

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
