One car crash on US 172 S of Liberty takes life of Casey man

A passenger in the vehicle treated and released at Casey County Hospital

LIBERTY, KY - Trooper Adam Likins is investigating a single vehicle fatal collision that occurred Sunday night, July 14, 2013 1 mile south of Liberty on US 127 at 11:32pmET.

James L. Baugh, age 37 of Liberty was traveling north in a 2004 Saturn when he lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected, and overturned.



Baugh was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle, Samantha Dilbeck, age 29 of Liberty was treated and released from the Casey County Hospital.

Alcohol is a contributing factor. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.

Trooper Likins was assisted at the scene by the Casey County Sheriff's Department, Casey County EMS, Casey County Rescue Squad, Dunnville and Clementsville Fire Department. - TPR CLINT WALKER
