Big Springs, KY, man dies of gunshot wound to the head

KSP responds to domestic dispute with reported shots fired. 32 year old Joshua Babb of Big Springs pronounced dead by Breckinridge County Coroner.

BIG SPRINGS, KY - On Saturday, June 1, 2013 at approximately 1:35pmET Breckinridge County Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call in reference to a domestic dispute with shots fired.

When Troopers arrived they discovered that 32-year-old Joshua Babb of Big Springs, KY had died from a gunshot wound to the head.



He was pronounced dead by the Breckinridge County Coroner at approximately 1:56pmET.

Babb's estranged wife, Ashley Babb, was at the residence when the shooting occurred.

Tpr. Jason Drane is conducting the ongoing investigation. He was assisted at the scene by other Troopers, the Breckinridge County Sheriff's Department and the Breckinridge County EMS. Autopsy results are pending. - MTPR Norman Chaffins
