HODGENVILLE, KY - On Monday, April 01, 2013 the Larue County Grand Jury met to discuss the Larue County Sheriff's Deputy involved shooting that occurred on December 7, 2012. Sgt. Kevin Johnson, KSP Post 4 Detective Sergeant, presented KSP's investigation into the shooting involving Deputy James E. Williamson and suspect, Thomas E. Ferguson to the Larue County citizens earlier this morning. The Grand Jury returned with a "No True Bill" decision which means that there was not sufficient evidence to bring forth criminal charges. Therefore, Dpty. Williamson has been cleared of any criminal charges. Inquiries into the employment status of Dpty. Williamson during and after the investigation may be directed to the Larue County Sheriff's Office. As of the date of this release, this investigation remains open. It will remain open until KSP Post 4 receives word from the courts that obtained evidence may be released. - MTPR Norman Chaffins
