Driver avoids collision with deer, drives into earth embankment

Six miles east of Columbia, KY on LBN Parkway

COLUMBIA, KY - Tpr. Ryan Wolking is investigating a collision that occurred on Friday March 29, 2013 at 6:50amCT, 6 miles east of Columbia, KY.

33-year-old Scott Davenport of Franklin, KY was traveling east on Louie B. Nunn Parkway, operating a 2009 Ford. He observed a deer in the roadway, evaded the collision with the deer and drove off of the roadway striking the earth embankment.



A passenger, 29-year-old Eric Shorter of Louisville and Davenport were both treated and released at Westlake hospital. Davenport was belted and Shorter was not. Wolking was assisted at the scene by Adair Co
