Basketball: LWC Men 92. Georgetown 82

No. 4 Lindsey Wilson Men's Basketball clinches MSC Title with win over No. 13 Georgetown behind powerful play of Kalen Kimberland

By Dan White
News from Lindsey Wilson College

COLUMBIA, KY - For the second straight season, the fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team is the Mid-South Conference Regular-Season Champion after beating No. 13 Georgetown 91-82 at Biggers Sports Center on Saturday, February 23, 2013.

The Blue Raiders improve to 16-3 in league play to capture the title with an overall mark of 26-3. They got a lift from Kalen Kimberland with 20 points to drop the Tigers to 21-7 overall and 13-6 in the MSC. The win is also Blue Raider head coach Paul Peck's 250th of his career at the school.

Allan Thomas gave his best performance to try and slow the Blue Raiders with a game-high 34 points and 12 rebounds. But with his team turning it over 20 times and Lindsey Wilson placing four in double figures scoring, there was just too much firepower for one man to overcome.

Kimberland was joined in double figures by DeAntra Scott with 16, Milton Watts had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Daronte' Clark chipped in with 13 points. - Dan White, LWC
