19-year-old Campbellsville driver injured in single vehicle collision Derek D. Taylor, age 19 of Campbellsville, operating a 2000 GMC Jimmy was traveling east on US 68. Taylor lost control of the vehicle, traveling off the roadway causing the vehicle to overturn several times before coming to rest on the roadway From Campbellsville, KY, Police Department The Campbellsville Police Department investigated an injury traffic collision on US 68 west of Campbellsville, KY, at approximately 5:30am/6:30amET, on today Tuesday February 5, 2013. At approximately 6:30amET, Campbellsville Police received a report of a traffic collision on US 68 west of Campbellsville. Officer Scotty Perian responded and initiated an investigation. The collision involved a single vehicle. Derek D. Taylor, age 19 of Campbellsville, operating a 2000 GMC Jimmy was traveling east on US 68. Taylor lost control of the vehicle, traveling off the roadway causing the vehicle to overturn several times before coming to rest on the roadway. Taylor was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. Taylor was transported to the Taylor Regional Hospital by Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS for non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision. The incident remains under investigation. CPD Police Sgt, S. Perian was the investigating officer.
