Carmen Rex Miller, Casey County, KY (1930-2012)

He was a native of West Virginia and the patriarch of a respected Casey County, KY family. His wife, Elsie Eads Miller, survives. He leaves 6 direct living descendants. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and will be interred at Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Carmen Rex Miller, passed away Tuesday November 27, 2012 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. He was 82.

Funeral services will be at 12pm noon ET/11amCT, Thursday November 29, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Johnny Patton officiating. Burial is at Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 W. Highway 80, Nancy, KY, with military honors. Visitation will be Thursday after 11amET/10amCT, at the funeral home.

He was born Monday, June 16, 1930 in West Virginia. He was the son of the late Boyd and Lucy Messer Miller. He died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 11 days.

He was a Korean War Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Eads Miller of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • A son Jonathan Miller of Liberty, KY

  • A daughter: Wyonia Miller of Waynesburg, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • And one sister: Patricia Shott
