COLUMBIA, Ky. - Sarah Anderson hit 13 kills on just 16 swings and Andrea Taylor tallied 44 assists in just three sets as the Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team blanked Bluefield, of Bluefield, VA, 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-21) on Saturday in the Mid-South Conference Crossover Classic at Biggers Sports Center.

The Rams never led by more than a single point as the Blue Raiders hit .474 as a team in the win. Bluefield got seven kills and two blocks from Jasmine Morrow, but it was not enough to overcome the hot-hitting Blue Raiders.

Lindsey Wilson was led defensively by Kristi Hager with seven digs, while four different players recorded a single block.

Serving continued to be a strength for Lindsey Wilson as Kellie Ranney, Hager and Taylor each recorded two aces. Courtney Doyle joined Anderson in double figures for kills with 10.

Bluefield's leading passer was Cheznee Daily with 21 assists, while Jasmine Morrow led the defense with four digs.

The offense was really rolling for the home team in the first two sets, registering .545 and .667 hitting performances, respectively. The attack trailed off in the .267-hitting third set which saw the Rams climb within 23-21 before Lindsey Wilson claimed the final two points.

The first set saw the Rams hold close at the start, playing to a 14-12 deficit before Lindsey Wilson used an 11-3 win to claim control of the match. During the run Hager stayed on serve for five straight points as Anderson issued three of the 11 points.

Once again the second set saw Bluefield trail just 11-8 early before an 8-0 Lindsey Wilson run made the score 19-8 and it never looked back. The lead swelled to as many as 13 points as Audra McNabney closed out the set with a kill to make it 25-12.
