Boys Team now State Tournament Bound By Steve Burton, ACHS Boys Basketball Coach Special CM Sports Story On Wednesday afternoon, September 26, 2012, the ACHS Boy's Golf Team captured Runner-Up in the Boy's 4th Region Golf Tournament. Riley Grant's 74, Daniel Rarey's 78, Trey Garmon's 81, and Korey Hundley's 82 rounded out the terrific scorecard for the Indians. Alex's round was good enough for 3rd place overall and Riley's score took 6th place overall Individually. Coach's Comments We played so well. We played 5 awesome rounds of golf. I am so proud of these young men and to do it in the fashion they did was fantastic. Every coach deep down wants to see how their team is going to perform under the gun and coming down the stretch in competition. Our kids more than passed the test. We earned our way to the State Tournament in the last 5 holes. We played those under par as a team and that in unbelievable. We beat a lot of good teams today. What an accomplishment These kids never stop amazing me. It feels really good to be one of the final 24 teams in the state competing for a State Championship. - Steve Burton The Indians will be competing in the Boy's State Tournament next Friday-Saturday, October 5-6, 2012 at 251 Beech Bend RD, Bowling Green, KY. (Tee times will be announced.) This story was posted on 2012-09-27 00:46:38
